Kicked off my journey towards $1 million by Thanksgiving 2024! While I made some money today, I'd be lying if I said it was a good start. I broke some rules and overtraded a bit. That said, it could have been a lot worse. Here are a few highlights from the day:
The market felt heavy from the start, but it found a bottom early and trended up until mid-afternoon.
I was up about $5,000 by 10AM, but thought I would make a bigger score catching the market short.
I got chopped up in the morning but I had seen this type of setup before. The market was moving up slowly and seemingly was going to pull back at some point.
I put on about 80 NQ contracts by mid-afternoon but had about a $20K drawdown. I did not flinch.
I ultimately closed out the day with $3,925 in gross profit, but had $2,100+ in fees/commissions.
I need to be more patient and stick to the rules. Got lucky to escape with an ugly W today!
